Then how do they survive when they have a Sunday then Thursday game? The looked crap against the Ravens practice team with 10 days off. And worse today. I have no dog in either race, but this is probably the best story of the NFL season, by far. Alex Smith is a man worthy of incredible amounts of respect. What the Patriots accomplished in during the regular season was so much more impressive than that nominally perfect season of The Dolphins played a 14 game regular season and beat only 2 teams who finished with records greater than.

In the Patriots, although criticized heavily for playing in a division with 3 teams with records well below. Three teams on their sked were bloodthirsty and wanted revenge against the Patriots. The Eagles for losing the Super Bowl to the Patriots. The Rex Ryan led defense of the Ravens dedicated their game against the Patriots to former Miami alum and recently murdered Shawn Springs. Weakest excuse in the book! They still had to win 2 playoff games on the road and the Super Bowl! They also played most of the year with a backup QB. They did beat the mighty Steelers in Pittsburgh in a playoff game….

Two could make the playoffs. NFC East punching in the mouth down the stretch. Its really fascinating how some fans come out to gloat while others complain, while yet others bring up irrelevant teams from past eras and crow on that. Just enjoy that there are games for now and the entertainment continues…..

Are you trying to say the poor Steelers are the only team that has played 3 games in 11 days? You better look that up because it happens a couple times a season nearly every year. Two teams did last year. The Patriots are playing Thursday against the Rams on 4 days rest. Should we feel sorry for them?

They are also on the other side of the country. You just hope for the best outcome. That was an awesome game to watch after the half. The Washington FB Team never quit. How can they give Comeback of the Year award to anyone but Alex Smith? What a gritty performance by him and the rest of the team. Show some class and respect. While I do think the 07 Patriots deserve mention as being among the all-time best teams, you have to stop that last Giants TD drive at the end of the game to be considered THE all-time best.

Were they better than the 72 Dolphins? No, maybe as good, maybe, but not better. Somebody HAD to make a play to win that game and nobody did. And that this will likely derail any chance for a title? How do you blow a 14 point halftime lead at home against a team that, sure, has a pretty good D, but lost to the Giants twice?

Yes, the Giants are better than they were early in the year, but, please… Tomlin called out his team after the second Ravens game and this is the result? Wow… Something is seriously wrong in Steeltown…. Goal, is to win it all. An anomaly weekend across the league. The entire season was a pissing contest between Goodell and Belichick. And NFL culture just pretends that Eli used some kind of magic to avoid being sacked.

Honestly, Patriots fans would be glad to see anybody knock the Dolphins off that perch. Steelers are not playing good football right now but that will change as they get closer to the playoffs. Can only hope Tomlin sees this! Stillers in dire need of a playmaker at RB. How many did it playing at 5PM after getting jerked around for days not knowing when they would play and ending up playing a Wednesday at PM… against a team that had 13 days to get ready? All that being said, they played poorly again and have some significant problems to address inability to run, drops and having their only effective offensive strategy pretty much figured out now along with some suspect play-calling decisions to be a legitimate contender.
