Failure to enumerate subscribed files


















Mods and stuff like Hearthfire are downloadable content, right? Mods are considered unofficial "downloadable content" [thus not DLC]. Last edited by Shocks AirLink ; 21 May, am. Same error showed up for me starting yesterday.

Tried everything I could come up with from old troubleshooting threads I found when searching for the error. No dice. Incredible that Steam basically ignores such a common issue. Thanks for your feedback. I'm trying to change the permissions of my libraries to my current user and although some of my folders are fine, a bunch of them are throwing up the error: "Permission error - Failed to enumerate objects in the container.

This forum thread also has a couple of suggestions to prevent this from happening in the future; To have a mod installed you don't have to be subscribed to it, unsubscribe to mods that are stable and you don't think will receive further updates, then you can subscribe to more The 50 mod limit is specific to Steam Worksop, mods installed in Nexus do not count towards this limit It is mentioned that this issue is a bug, but I don't have anything beyond a forum post to cite so this is possibly untrue, and this could have how Valve intended this to work.

Think of the folders as the structure of your OS. Changing your Windows folder on a Windows machine would be very bad. As for adding folders, I wish we could, but I don't think there's a way in-game.
